Bad day for the Hawkeyes. Lost starting QB Ricky Stanzi in the second qtr. due to serious leg injury.
“My guess is he’ll be out of action here the next couple weeks,” Iowa Head Coach Kirk Ferentz said, comparing the injury to the high-ankle sprains running back Adam Robinson and tight end Tony Moeaki suffered earlier this season.
The next couple weeks, that’s the rest of the regular season.
Back up redshirt freshman QB that has never played in a regular season game couldn't get the job done. Northwestern hung on for the upset 17-10, snapping Iowa's 13-game winning streak and undefeated season. Ohio State next week. Redshirt freshman QB. So much for the Big Ten title.
Ah..but it was so fun while it lasted!
